TLC Topics for 2025 - 2026
Social Studies - Native Americans (Oct)
We’ll learn about the first people who lived in America—how they found food, built homes, and played games. Children will enjoy stories, crafts, and games while learning about their lives.
Biology - PA Wildlife (Sept)
We’ll discover the animals we see in our yards and parks—mammals, birds, reptiles, frogs, insects, and spiders. Children will explore where animals live, what they eat, and how God made each one special.
History/Civics - George Washington & Abraham Lincoln (Nov/Dec)
We’ll meet two important leaders from long ago. Children will hear stories about their lives, use coins with their faces, make crafts, and learn about being brave, honest, and kind.
Religion/Biology - Bible: God Made Me (Jan)
We’ll explore how God made each of us special and unique. Children will learn about body parts and how they work together through stories, crafts, and fun science activities.
Literature/Author Study - Mo Willems (Feb)
We’ll read fun and silly stories by Mo Willems. Children will practice listening, retelling, and learning new words with characters like Piggie and Elephant, while building a love for books.
Earth Science/Botany - Plants (March & April)
We’ll study the plants God made—seeds, roots, stems, and leaves. Children will plant seeds, watch them grow, and discover how plants get food from the sun.
